Ron + Tammy Lubsen, of Forx Farm in Anderson, SC, moved to the United States from Holland in the ‘80s. After years of raising a family and building a successful glass bending (!) business, they decided to make cheesemaking their “retirement" plan. Utilizing butter-rich raw cow’s milk sourced from a handful of dairies in South Carolina, they are making some of the best Gouda we’ve tasted- crystalline, salty, and brothy!

Our favorite application: A touch of sweetness really lends this one to the dessert cheese board. Add a drizzle of Barrel-Aged Honey and a few Roasted Hazelnuts.

Tastes like: Salted caramel, beef bone broth, marzipan.
