All of the cheesemakers we work with play a part in making Counter Cheesemongers what it is, but Boxcarr Handmade Cheese holds a particularly special place in our hearts. Having first been gobsmacked by their brand new Robiola-style cheeses back in 2015, Boxcarr played a substantial part in our decision to move to the Southeast and focus on the makers of the region. Since then, they’ve grown to be an unparalleled powerhouse of not only the Southeastern region but of Italian-style cheesemaking in the entire USA.

This collection of Boxcarr’s beautiful cheeses includes a half pound wedge of one of their large format, well-aged Piedmont style cheeses, three half wheels of their Robiola-styles, depending on what’s in season, a Carolina-made jar of Apis Wildflower Raw Honey, and, of course, our Cultured Crackers. If anything is unavailable we will make wonderful substitutions!
